Please enjoy some pictures while you wait. I'd put on some mellow tunes for you too if I knew how...
Peas n chicks!
A fraction of our flock of forty-five feathered friends... Beware backyard chickens... They are more addictive than farmville.
Let's hope the two planned peafowl for next year don't multiply in the same way. If only for my neighbors' sake....
The aptly named" Tom thumb" popcorn...
The sometimes Sad reality of cohabitation with animal friends :(
R.I.P little kitty "Chess"... And quirky little chicken one eyed Willie... With us for a short time but loved for a lifetime.
Just when I'd given up on the eggplant bushes...
First time layer vs seasoned ole biddy...
Thank heavens for family and all their assistance in bringing my dreams to life into all their polycarbonate and port oraford cedar glory!
Green growing power!
Labyrinth concrete easier bed gardens... To find out the significance of the labyrinth you'll have to come walk it with me :)
Home sweet homestead! And my shiney red tool/toy that'll likely take a lifetime to make up for it's upfront investment, but that enables all 5 ft 3 inches of me to do the work of a half a dozen large men in a day once it gets cookin!
Scarlet zinnias for James Riggio ... Miss you Nanu!
Lennon's fantastic vintage ride-on. Best score EVER at brimfield antique show!
Gardens... And my pile of projects and plans for another day :)
Lennon and mama snugglin'
Lennons handmade solstice candles last December.
My nearly finished canning and processing kitchen... Again, GIVE THANKS for the skill, help, and hard work of family... Thanks Joe, Andrew, Fred, mom, dad!
Our friendly neighborhood wild turkeys... They seem quite fond of using the trees in our side yard as roosts... Lennon was pretty sure he could capture a youngun to raise in with the chickens... Until he was reminded that the male papa turkey stands at least twice as tall as our feistiest of roosters...
Harvest time in our first garden!
Trying out my spinning wheel, a few lumpy bumpy (but oh so soft and pretty) first yarns...
Blanched yumminess
Where else can you get canned tomatoes in these colors?! This is pretty much the posterchild for diy canning...
Well fed days ahead this winter?
Nearly full shelf... I aim to fill it and then some if possible...
